OUR MISSION
PROVIDING PEACE OF MIND FINANCIALLY FOR FAMILIES IN NEED DURING THEIR TOUGHEST BATTLE
This one belief guides us in everything we do at givegive.
It is why we provide meaningful financial support to families going through one of the hardest periods of their lives. It is what drives us to deliver hope, relief, and peace of mind when it is needed most. It is also what compels us to make every donated dollar go as far as possible.
Most of all, it is the founding principle behind our vision: helping families regain a measure of stability during an incredibly difficult fight.
Donations to these families are about more than money. They affect everyone involved - the patient, the family, friends, donors, sponsors, medical professionals, and the broader community. When some of the financial pressure is lifted, families can focus more fully on treatment, recovery, and getting through the battle ahead.
For many, the burden is immediate. Mortgage payments, rent, utilities, groceries, and basic household expenses do not stop during treatment.
Short-term disability often covers only a portion of income, if it is available at all. And for commissioned salespeople or 1099 workers, there may be little to no income protection in place.
THE NUMBERS:
Roughly 20% (2,400) will face aggressive treatment like I did and may be out of work for as long as 8 months.

Within that group, about 9% (200) will have no employer support and no meaningful financial safety net beyond insurance.

Those 200+ men and their families are who we aim to help yearly

We serve a clearly defined, underserved group:
*Men diagnosed with throat cancer
*Undergoing aggressive treatment
*Unable to work for approximately 6 months or more
*Little or no income replacement
*No employer-sponsored safety net due to 1099 status

Annual program capacity:
200+ men and their families each year

The treatment for HPV throat cancer is among the toughest, often leaving patients unable to work or provide for their families. That only adds more stress to an already difficult fight. Because survival rates are high, there is even more reason to support these families and help lift the financial burden during their time of need.
